The opening of the sliding nozzle of the ladle is used to control the flow rate of molten steel and to control the height of the liquid level in the intermediate ladle. The sliding water outlet consists of an upper water outlet, an upper sliding plate, a lower water outlet, and a lower sliding plate. During the operation, the movement of the sliding plate can be used to adjust the degree of overlap between the upper and lower injection holes, thereby controlling the size of the injection. There are two adjustment methods, namely hydraulic and manual.

Sliding nozzle function:

Due to the need to withstand the erosion of high-temperature steel slag, static pressure of molten steel, and the effects of rapid cooling and heating, sliding nozzles require refractory materials to be resistant to high temperatures, erosion, rapid cooling and heating, and have good slag resistance, as well as sufficient high-temperature strength.

Advantages of ladle sliding plate:

The ladle sliding plate has the advantages of high strength, good erosion resistance, good thermal shock resistance, and good stability, and is mainly used for large and medium-sized ladles.
